First order, pretty happy

I decided to try Nelson Paint for some Fluorescent Marking Paint, and I'm glad I did. The website was easy enough to navigate to find what I needed. Placing the order was smooth, and it shipped out the next day. It took 5 days to reach Denver, which felt standard. The paint itself works really well, very visible, which is crucial for our work. I did have a question about cleaning the sprayer I already owned, and their customer support was actually helpful, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a solid experience for a first-timer.

Great paint, quick delivery!

I ordered a case of Nelson Aero Spot Marking Paint for a big project, and it arrived so fast! The quality of the paint is fantastic, just what I needed. I will definitely be shopping here again for all my marking paint needs, and I'm telling my colleagues about it!

Repeat customer, always good

This isn't my first time ordering from Nelson Paint, and they're consistently reliable. I picked up some Tree Marking Paint 12 Oz Cans this time, and the quality is just as good as my previous orders. Shipping took about 4 days to get to me in Oregon, which is typical for them. Their products always perform well for our forestry work. It's why I keep coming back instead of trying other brands. Never had an issue with an order yet, which is saying something given how many times I've purchased.

Got some marking crayons

Needed some marking crayons for a smaller job. Found them here. Price was decent and they arrived without a fuss. They do the job, nothing fancy but reliable. Happy with the purchase.

How does Nelson's tree marking paint compare to something like Bark-Mark or Trecoder? Worth paying extra for?

C Cleo 1 month ago

Nelson is usually way more durable. I've had Bark-Mark fade faster in harsh weather. Nelson just sticks better.

N Nick Marsh 1 month ago

For serious forestry work, Nelson is the standard. I've tried Trecoder but always come back to Nelson for the consistency and how long it lasts on the trees. Worth the extra few bucks for sure.

How fast does Nelson Paint usually ship? I need some stuff for a job starting next week in Portland, OR.

T Troy M. 2 months ago

Depends on where you are but I've always gotten my orders within a week, usually less, when shipping to the west coast. They're pretty quick.

S Steve Kim 2 months ago

For Portland, you're probably looking at 3-5 business days max. I'm in Seattle and usually get mine in 3 days. Might vary if it's a huge order though.

What's the deal with their return policy, especially for like, a paint gun? What if it's not what I expected?

C Colin Romero 2 months ago

I returned a nozzle kit once, it was super easy. Just follow the instructions on their site, they're pretty clear.

A Amber Carter 2 months ago

I think as long as it's unused and within their timeframe, you should be fine. I've never had to return a whole gun, but I know they have a policy for it. Definitely worth checking the specifics on their site though for bigger items.

Are these guys legit? I've heard some good things about their paint guns but want to make sure I'm not buying some knockoff junk.

W Wendy Carter 2 months ago

Oh yeah, Nelson Paint is the original. They literally invented the paintball, so they've been around forever. You're good.

G Greg Marsh 2 months ago

My grandpa used their stuff, and so did his dad. They're like, the OG tree marking paint company. No fakes here.

Is there any kind of discount for new customers or first-time orders?

C Chris Hughes 2 months ago

Sometimes they have a pop-up for a newsletter signup discount, usually like 5 or 10%. Keep an eye out for that.

F Faith 2 months ago

I don't think they always have a specific 'first-time buyer' code, but they do run sales and the bulk pricing is usually the best deal anyway if you're ordering more than a can or two.

Thinking of ordering some paint for a big project, like a few 5-gallon pails. Do they do any kind of bulk discount for that much paint?

E Elena Brooks 2 months ago

Yeah, totally. They have bulk pricing, especially for cases or larger quantities. You should see it automatically if you add enough to your cart.

J James 2 months ago

I bought a bunch of their boundary paint last fall, like 10 cases, and definitely got a price break. It's usually a pretty good discount, better than trying to find a coupon code or something.
